What is On-Page SEO

On-page SEO is the process of making changes to your website to improve its page rankings within the search engines. Some examples of on-page SEO are updating Title tags, Meta descriptions, website content, keyword density, image optimization, SEO friendly URL restructuring, mobile-friendly improvements, SSL connection, broken link fixes, and more.

Why is On-Page SEO Important

On-page SEO ensures the search engines, especially Google understand what your website is about. Performing on-page SEO assists with ranking your website higher on the search engine results page (SERP). Search engines use many algorithms to determine your website’s worthiness and one of those is ranking websites that are optimized and have the user in mind. This is referred to as user experience (UX) and user interface (UI), we will discuss more on this in a separate topic.
